Big changes came from Google and Yahoo on February 1st, 2024, making things even trickier for online marketers. While Kartra did manage to implement support for custom domain DKIM before the deadline, there are some scenarios where it might be useful to have other sending platform options.

Google instituted a policy of purging all Gmail accounts that have been inactive for 2 years or more. Inactive means no use of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, or any other services related to those free accounts.

For those accounts that meet these criteria, Google is DELETING them. This means a major bump in bounce metrics for email marketers who aren't keeping their lists clean.

When you consider that close to 50% of addresses in a B2C email database live on Gmail, this is going to have a HUGE impact on those who are unprepared.
